Camerun is first to participate to IABW 2018

The first confirmation to take part to the second edition of Italia Africa Business Week comes from Camerun. The news has been published by Infoafrica.it, which we report here below.

AFRICA – The first confirmations from entrepreneurs from different African countries are already starting to arrive in order to participate to the second edition of Italia Africa Business Week (IABW), which will take place in Rome next 17 and 18 October.

To say this to InfoAfrica is Adrien Cleophas Dioma, general manager of the event – the first of its kind to be organized in Italy – which aims to be a platform of dialogue between Italian and African entrepreneurs.

“We received expressions of interest to take part from business delegations of Burkina Faso, Benin,  Camerun, Kenya, Mali, Senegal and from Gambia – Dioma said – Moreover we are working very closely with the embassies in Italy of Ivory Coast, South Africa and Tunisia, Guinea Conakry in order to invite in Rome important business delegations also from these countries”.

The most interested sectors over which we already have confirmations of participation by African entrepreneurs are hotel industry and biomedical, agribusiness and renewable energies.

According to what was said by director of IABW, there are also on-going talks with representatives of the Development Bank of West Africa (BOAD) to ensure a participation to the event of government representatives of the eight members countries of the financial institute, and also with a group of businessmen close to the Nigerian conglomerate Dangote.

On the Italian side, Dioma adds, we are working with Enel Green Power to organize a roundtable about agribusiness and food security and the role of renewable energies.

The Forum has the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of the International Cooperation.

IABW wants to be a forum to develop business opportunities and cooperation agreements, being a unique occasion to anticipate the African trend of growth.

“This is only moment in Italy where Italian entrepreneurs can meet African entrepreneurs to create business relations – Dioma said – The strong participation of African businessmen to the first edition is a demonstration of the strong will of the African to bet over Italy”.
